Woven Wears
Suzuna and Heather walked down to see the storefront taking shape yesterday. We talked of natural dying dreams and native plant gardens while eating maple blossoms from the park across the street.
Suzuna is weaving two sizes of linen / cotton utility squares for the shop. The smaller for wiping up your fingers after eating a popsicle or bundling up bunches of greens, and the larger for wrapping your bread or baby, laying out your picnic on, or bundling your neighbours rhubarb in.
We have found such kindred spirits in these two. We ended up spending the afternoon popping back and forth between their light filled adjacent apartments in Dockside green and snacking from their rooftop gardens.
We left with our arms full of kale and our hearts bursting with spring excitement. Many creative adventures ahead with these beautiful, passionate, gentle souls.
