Join Solara Goldwynn of Hatchet & Seed and Marla Ebell of Hold General as we spend an afternoon in the garden exploring what dye plants grow on Vancouver Island.

We'll look at how to grow, harvest, preserve & process plant material to extract colour. Some of the species we'll be looking at are: dyer's camomile, yellow cosmos, zinnia, dogwood, walnut, yarrow, and many more.

This workshop is for anyone interested in natural dyeing.

Be prepared to be outside in the garden for the full workshop (rain or shine).

There will be a hands-on component, and students will leave with material to practice with at home.

Refreshments will be provided by Gather Victoria.

*cost of workshop is $120, includes all materials and refreshments and can be purchased here
